The Homecoming : June 2008
The Homecoming is concerned with the return of Teddy, to the North London house
occupied by his father, uncle and brothers, all of whom seem to operate on the
fringes of society. Teddy is accompanied by his wife, Ruth, who finds herself
at the centre of a series of bizarre power-struggles. The men’s attitudes towards
women are shocking and outrageous. A continuous back biting struggle for power
rumbles along where dominance accrues to the man who successfully portrays himself
as the most violent. Into the midst of which walk Teddy and Ruth.
