By the acclaimed writer of educating Rita, Shirley Valentine and Blood Brothers, One for the Road is an hilarious comedy about Dennis a would be wanderer who is desperately trying to break out of
the confines of his normal middle class suburban existence before middle age his wife and the
endless tupperware parties hold him back for ever. Their social climbing neighbors Jane and Roger
are invited to celebrate Denis’ impending 35th Birthday, but as the evening continues, the
admissions and exposes far outnumber the birthday cake candles.
